Q. How much does window film cost?
A. It depends on which type of film is chosen and for how many windows – please see our residential and commercial sections. We can provide a budget cost over the phone or a site visit to provide an accurate quotation.
Q. Does the solar film really work?
A. Yes, we have many satisfied customers (residential and commercial) who can confirm how well solar window film works and the many benefits it offers. Review our case studies, to see a selection of satisfied commercial customers. We can also provide references, where required.
Q. Can you clean windows after window film has been installed onto them?
A. Yes. Standard window cleaning will not damage the window film that’s been installed onto them.
Q. How long does window film last?
A. Generally speaking, internal window film will last about 20 years before requiring replacement. External film will not last as long and depends on where it is installed and the environment it’s installed into. Find out more about how window film works.
Q. Does Prism window film have a warranty?
A. Yes, all window films are covered by a manufacturer warranty, which means they are backed by insurance to provide complete peace of mind.
Q. Does window film keep heat in, during the winter?
A. Yes, we have a range of window films that keep heat in during winter and keep heat out during summer – to find out more, see our residential and commercial solutions
Q. Does window film installation make lots of noise?
A. No, the noise created is similar to when windows are being cleaned, so there is minimal disruption. Find out more about how we work and the process we go through.
Q. Do you work out of hours or charge for working out-of-hours?
A. Yes, we work out of hours including nights and weekends to minimise any disruption to customers. We don’t charge additional costs, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Q. Do you work on building construction sites?
A. Yes, all of our personnel are CSCS qualified to work on customer sites. The Managing Director, Stuart Stevenson, is a CSCS supervisor. Prism also works on new build developments and property renovations and in conjunction with various building specifiers.
Q. Are you qualified to operate access equipment?
A. Yes, all Prism engineers and installation teams are PASMA and IPAF trained and cardholders.
Q. Do you install window film across the UK?
A. Yes, we have installers that travel to every part of the UK to fit window film.
Q. Does window film come under the CIS system?
A. No, window film is CIS exempt.
Q. Do you perform site surveys?
A. Yes we do - please contact us to discuss your requirements. If you’re ready to discuss your own project and need a quotation, we can visit your premises to conduct an initial site survey.

Q. How long does it take to install window film into a conservatory?
A. Usually a conservatory window film installation takes 1 day, which includes moving furniture and cleaning the windows and glass before the film is applied.
