Window Film FAQ's

Q. How long does it take to install window film into a conservatory?
A. Usually a conservatory window film installation takes 1 day, which includes moving furniture and cleaning the windows and glass before the film is applied.
Q. How much does window film cost?
A. It depends on which type of film is chosen and for how many windows. We can provide a budget cost over the phone or a site visit to provide an accurate quotation.
Q. Does the solar film really work?
A. Yes, we have many satisfied customers (residential and commercial) who can confirm just how well solar window film works. We can obviously provide references where required.
Q. Can you clean the windows afterwards?
A. Yes, standard window cleaning will not damage the window films.
Q. How long does window film last?
A. Technology is moving all the time but generally speaking, internal window film will last about 20 years before requiring replacement. External films will not last as long and it depends on where it is installed.
Q. Can you provide references?
A. Yes, we can always provide references and (where applicable) can provide a reference of someone close to your location. Have you seen our testimonials page?
Q. Does Prism window film have a warranty?
A. Yes, all window films are covered by a manufacturer warranty, which means they are insurance backed, to provide complete peace of mind.

Q. Does window film keep heat in during winter?
A. Yes, we have a range of films that keep heat in during winter and keep heat out during summer.

Q. What does window film look like?
A. We have about 80 different types of window film tint, for both residential and commercial applications and they vary from clear to heavily tinted. We will help you choose the best type to fit your unique style, decor and requirements.

Q. Is it noisy when film installation takes place?
A. No, it is similar to a window cleaner being at the window, so there is very minimal disruption. Find out more about how we work.

Q. Do you work out of hours?
A. Yes, we work out of hours including nights and weekends to minimise any disruption, all at no additional charge.
